This June in our Village

*|MC:SUBJECT|*

Hello!

I am so glad that you are here. How are you doing?

How can it be June already? Time is flying and I am loving it. So much is happening in my life right now and I am trying to enjoy every moment, “Take each day as it comes,” I say to myself.” One foot in front of the other. And try not to get overwhelmed. Just pace.”

My book club is now in full swing with a lovely group of women in my friendship circle attending. One may wonder if it’s more about the glass of wine or cup of tea with some crackers, cheese and delicious chocolate at the start. The company, or perhaps the deep conversation about the book of choice with so many different perspectives shared. Either way, they are always special evenings.

We recently debriefed Lessons In Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus and there were so many ‘threads’ to discuss and dive into. I’m loving this book club idea - there is so much going for it on so many levels. And I love opening my house for it every 6 weeks.

I am also knee deep in preparing for my first ukulele performance where I will be singing and playing in front of an audience for the first time. I feel quite ready to do this and am receiving support from Nerissa (our community ukulele leader) and our ukulele group. Such a lovely gathering with like minded people who really enjoy sharing and learning together. The singing and strumming is a bonus!

The final flourish of autumn leaves are scattered across my lawn - I will treasure the last of them this weekend.

I hope you enjoy reading This June in our Village and have a wonderful month ahead.
